The prophecy that some of Jesus' disciples will see his kingdom

28 "Assuredly, I say to you, there are some standing here who shall not taste death till they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom."    Matthew 16:28

"Some" is also translated 'certain," more often than "some."   Could that certain one be John and his receiving the revelation of Jesus' coming?  There is the plural verb translated "there are," but maybe that is used with some ambiguity.

John the apostle would receive the revelation of Jesus coming in his glory.

11 Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. 12 His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. Revelation 19:11-12
